Meet Gino and Jan from CS Lotteries.
Say “hello” to Gino and Jan from CS Lotteries, the husband and wife duo that have been giving a bit of extra luck to the CS Square community for over 10 years.
You can visit this family operated franchise near ALDI and try your luck with all the major draws including Powerball, Oz Lotto, Tattslotto, Set For Life and more. Over the recent years, Gino and Jan have had the absolute pleasure in rewarding several lucky winners including a massive $1.1 million prize to a local community member in February 2020, as well as three individual division one winners and three syndicate division one winners over the recent years.
The dynamic duo have been in business together for over 30 years in the area, having managed various video hire stores, newsagencies and lottery kiosks. “If we didn’t love what we do, then we wouldn’t be doing this” exclaimed Gino. “We try our best to personalise products to our customers, but we also do it by having a good laugh”. Having been in business for so long has also come with some unforgettable memories. Did you know that Gino sold the first ever Keno ticket in Australia when the brand launched, and it was sold to the Victorian Government Treasurer, Robert Jolly!?
When you visit Gino and Jan, you’re not just buying a lottery ticket, you’re also supporting a local family. They have lived in the area for years and they love going above and beyond for their customers. “It’s been wonderful getting to know our customers over time and sharing stories with one-another. We have made a lot of friends and it’s always heart-warming seeing them on a regular basis”, says Jan. But it’s not just lottery tickets and scratchies you can buy, CS Lotteries is also a Parcel Point where you can pick up your deliveries after hours when the post office is closed for added convenience.
Gino and Jan have been married for over 40 years and have three beautiful children and one grandson. When they aren’t at the kiosk, Gino loves checking out the latest flicks and Jan loves to garden and read but both of them love nothing more than to catch up and spend time with their family. When asked what they would do if they won a $100 million, they both said they would go on a big family getaway to Europe and make donations to various charitable organisations to support those who need it most.
So the next time you’re out at CS Square and are feeling lucky, visit Gino and Jan at CS Lotteries near ALDI and see for yourself why they’re so beloved by the local community.
